HANK MASON – Throughout my time in high school I was always looking for a good workout. To go along with that, I thought that a good workout entailed benching, squatting, bicep curls, and the ab machine. I stepped into 5B CrossFit early June this summer and after the first WOD with Kyl I can honestly say that I had found my passion. The workouts are intense, the people are amazing, and lastly the coaching is absolutely an instrumental factor in the success of the individual. Kyl and Alex are both awesome guys inside and out of the gym. It has opened my eyes in the world of fitness, and I can honestly say that it will be my lifestyle for the next 40 years. I hope that every single athlete takes advantage of this program, whether their trying to win a national championship, or just trying to live a healthy lifestyle. Simply put it increases fitness exponentially in every aspect including flexibility. Anyone can do CrossFit and that is the beauty of the program. I wouldn’t be surprised if I wound up in the business of owning an affiliate because its something I can do day in and day out, loving every second of it.

JENNIE BEUHLER – Thanks 5B! The “Nutrition Challenge” finally broke my bad eating habits and I physically feel a change in body inside and out. I have learned moderation and know how much better I feel and perform when I eat Paleo. Thanks for all the encouragement, I love working out at 5B!

HEIDI WATANABE – Thanks to 5B CrossFit for helping me achieve such an amazing recovery with my  arm / shoulder (and belly) surgery. I really appreciate your efforts in getting me back into 5B CrossFit so quickly, working on strength and flexibility, and adjusting the workouts for my injury. When I signed up for the Alcatraz Swim – I thought it was  a rather aggressive goal for 6 months post surgery. I was truly amazed  by how much strength and flexibility I gained week by week. Not only did I reach my goal of swimming Alcatraz – but I beat my previous time by almost 1 minute. I really appreciate your dedication in helping all of us reach our dietary and physical goals. I am inspired each time I walk out of your gym.

KRIS JOSEY – CrossFit training has been very beneficial to my mountain bike riding. I feel so much stronger on the trails and recover much faster after grinding up the steep pitches. By the end of the “Nutrition Challenge,” I felt great and much stronger. Now I feel that I can maintain an 80/20 Paleo diet without losing what gains I’ve achieved.

CARA SHUMATE – I like CrossFit because it is always challenging and always gratifying. Not only is it an efficient way of training your body for both strength and endurance, it’s a fast way, for me, to get into great shape. Even after a few weeks its easy to notice improvements both visually and physically. I love training with Kyl and at 5B because they encourage you to push yourself and I can’t stay away from those nasty WODs. Hard work pays off.

CHRIS THOMAS – I choose CrossFit as a workout regiment because of the strength, endurance and general health concepts that the program was built on. Secondary to the increased physical ability, CrossFit allows my mind to stay clearer in mentally and physically draining situations presented in Fire and EMS services. This increases safety and customer service when on emergency calls. 5B CrossFit has all the equipment and trainers to allow you to follow the training program right here in the Wood River Valley.
